Donna!!! I LOVE 💕 the term Doubt Dickhead- I am going to use that when talking to my therapy clients about their inner critics. The humor of it is disarming. Thanks for sharing this beautiful piece!
You continue to make me grin ear-to-ear, Lynn! I feel like the Cheshire Cat from Alice in Wonderland. I'm here to help, and you continue to confirm I am doing what I am supposed to do.
Yor honesty makes all the difference. Thanks for sharing mindset shit still happens to you. I was driving today cussing out people for dangerous driving. I got you in my head reminding me self talk. It is actually the chapter this week. I reframed the cussing. I even wished the a safe drive.😁
T-raise, I'm unsure how I missed this. Interesting theory that we go to our grave with five deep, dark secrets. If that's the case, then I guess I can do a lot of naughty stuff and shout about them.
You didn't see it because I've swapped my email over to theresebirdsaves101@gmail.com, rather than the one you're on.
Most freevsubscribers are on the wrong email. My Therese’s Substack has 5 followers and subscribers!
My Substack app has about 352 subscribers, and 300 of them are from the Sub app, not my proper account.
Even though I swapped the email, I'm lucky to get 3 likes from a long post.
Still trying to get my account sorted, so people see my newsletter, but after a year on here, people only respond to my notes.
It's okay. I won't give up entirely. I've written about my old dog Thor dying a week ago. Lots of posts and notes, though I'm still quite cut up about it.
Life goes on, but those dogs run away with waggling tails and take your heart along with them.
Now on Substack, people are responding first to notes that are mostly short. Some long ones with huge followings go viral, but nothing is the way to build. ♥️
What I discovered is taking a post and pulling out several notes that are a tiny thought and post them. Give that a try. You might be surprised 🤗
My mouth muffler came off near a year ago just after I turned 75. I was sick and tired of staying quiet, but I never expected to unpack my locked suitcase 😜
Hey, for me as for 34y old player ( who actually taking a long break from poker rn ) it’s a pleasure to be you subscriber. IMO it’s impressive that poker has such important impact in you life at your age, because I see myself some kind of a blogger/influencer or populasitator of that game in future. I often visit Central Asia countries and facing with a lot of stereotypes there about poker)
I am new author here, and my plan was to share ideas out of poker and markets, but I changed it and last pot was about poker) so I will post about poker a lot probably, it will be a honor for me if you subscribe on my Substack and give me couple advices maybe even in dm about how to grow Substack without being active in any other social platforms
That's exactly what my first desire is, Cam, but the funny thing is once we have a "sit down" and have a meeting of the minds, his power begins to wane.
Donna, your persistent personal truth-telling is remarkable. And the persistent life-force that comes across from you is too.
I don't often resonate to the specifics of the stories you tell - because so different from (and more gut-wrenching) than mine. But your determination to keep on expressing what in you wants to be expressed is something with which I identify completely.
Along with the little doubt gremlins that try to say "what you're doing is not worth it!"
@Patti Petersen thank you so much for sharing! 💜

Thank you Cindy! I kept asking what is his name, and yes, my doubter is masculine 🤣
Once I asked once and shut up, his moniker surfaces.
Yep! Doubt Dickhead is his name ✅
I adore you and ALL your words. Please, please, please keep sharing sans muffle! It’s gorgeous.

Oh, so glad to hear that the MindShifting method took hold, Linda! I am profoundly proud of you. Reframing is magical or magikal :-)
They say every person on earth has five deep, dark secrets they never ever tell.
Maybe so, but I never thought I'd hear anyone say the big reveal is orgasmic!
Good on you for being the bravest woman I know.
The show I think yould love is called Poker Face…a compelling series.

That then becomes the path to immortality 🙏🙏🙏🙏
Great POV Donna.

I'll have a go. Why the hell not?
Unmuffled…love it. Love you. (And I RARELY say that right off the bat 🦇.)

But I still want to knock him out! LOL

Thank you so much for restacking from your comment! See! I told you that you are technically savvy.
Look, we, as technology immigrants, take a bit longer to understand the process, but when we do, we get it!
I am so proud of you and am giving you a bi-coastal Big Girl hug :-D
