Love this, Donna. I enjoy playing Texas Hold’em, but never in that kind of tournament. I’d say 23rd place is amazing out of 16,000(did you say?). But yes, the play that takes you out can be obsessed over, or learned from. Overanalyzed and regretted or is she did, understood. Wisdom in that leaning in, as you said. As in poker so in life!
So glad you're here, AnneJX! Yes, learning lessons within mistakes is how we grow. The funny thing about that is that I frequently experience growing pains 😂
Sometimes I think to myself, "Okay, I get it. I have learned. Enough already." Hahaha
Yep, 23rd out of 160,301 entrants is no small feat. Three-day tournaments are physically, mentally, and emotionally exhausting.
Even though you sit at the table to compete, it require even more attention to physicality.
Poker players, who train like a physical athlete while focusing on their mental game, cash more often.
Thank you, Donna! Ha, yes to the growing pains, they hurt so good. The tournaments are thrilling to watch, and yes, can see the importance of multifactor training in all capacities. There's some serious ZEN happening while I'm on my couch sobbing for a player to fold - Lol

We're so much smarter when we can see the other cards 😁 I talk to the TV like they can hear me! Zen Poker was a company.
"Truth has a way of going where it needs to...Pause for as long as you need to."
Well, ain't that the truth? (Spoken with an incredible Texas drawl.)
This is my favorite Poker Life Lesson session I've heard from you.
Topping this one is going to be very hard, Donna Blevin's.
But you're a winner, so I know you can. You always come up aces.
Then, what you're saying, t-raise, is this post is a Royal Flush!
I accept and shall continue talking with my best friend. Feel that when you listen. That is my intention.
