What a beautiful, authentic post in teaching and sharing how to express one's self. I find it strange people would ask if its narcissistic to share the written word. Weird.
You nailed it: it's sacred.
I used to journal online. Im back to paper and pencil. It feels better. I'm working through things, and while a keyboard has its place the true magic comes from mind, to hand, to paper. Great article!
I was unsure sending it late in the day was a good idea, but I wanted to get it out. Glad I did.
Pen to paper is freeing. In 2009, just after Writing Down Your Soul was published, I attended my first online live class by way of a phone conference line hosted by the author, Janet Connor.
I was resistant, but complied. And it was life changing.
I love paper! I have recently gone back to paper to start some of my drafts. I let my heart write and it gives me some amazing things. I would hand you a ream of paper to share as we write.
I resonate well with the print aspect (not only because I worked at HP)! Typically I read my book script printed on paper after correcting on screen - and find sooo many more typos to be corrected or the need to change or rephrase sentences or even paragraphs.

Nice! I still refer back to the first online course I took by way of the conference call llne, Instant Teleseminar.
It was Writing Down Your Soul, by the author, Janet Connor, who insisted we write pen to paper.
Despite my resistance, I complied and was thrilled with the results.

That is true, Gunnar! Reading it out loud also give me more information. I want my writing to sound like I'm talking directly with you.
