This Part 2 of the Toughest Times in your life is even more courageous than the first. I'm stunned by your willingness to go all the way in telling the total truth of experiences in your life. Not doing what most of us do, which is "curating" our experiences to fit our current cultivated persona. This should be an inspiration to other people who have had unbelievably ugly and painful experiences in their lives, so the shame can be replaced by the liberation of telling the story. But it should also be a call to those of us who have been luckier and just choose to edit the truth a little so as not to let the world that we too have had some bad times. I'm not there, Donna... and not eager to go there, either! Call me a chicken if you will....
Wow! Girlfriend, you packed about a zillion easter eggs in this one. What I mean by that is just about every other sentence offers a hint of a much bigger story. You have so much life experience to share, and I'm eager to read the deeper moment-by-moment versions of these stories you show me here. I suspect you have more than you can write in your lifetime. All of them, precious gems.
Thank you for helping me speak the truth, Teri! And, I do have much to share. There's always that doubt that will it be of interest to others. I'm hoping that being transparent is the key to individual transformation. :-)

Call you a chicken, Karine!?! Never
You are a brilliant writer who draws in the reader. I always sit back, put my feet up, and look forward to savoring where you take me.
Writing doesn't have to be nitty gritty ugly, it just has to be authentic.
Yesterday, I drafted another that I'm not yet ready to share because I have mixed feelings.
My id, ego, and superego are having a tug-of-war inside my mind.
Hmm... That last sentence deserves to publish. It touched on the balance of struggle between MindShifting and playing the crappy cards life deals.
I am glad I stumbled upon your newsletter! You are absolutely inspirational. What a rich treasure of stories, I can’t wait to read more from you 😊
How sweet of you to say, Naina!
I loved what you said in your poem, "It is an unlimited buffet and they are here."
That's how I feel about Substack, and I'm honored that my stories are dishes to savor.
Soooo, they are organic and raw, never pasteurized 🤪

Don't doubt. You had us all at "toughest."
